General Rules & Regulations for Dirt Drags
1. All trucks must be registered by 11:30 AM at the Finch Stage. Were only taking the first 64 trucks.
2. All drivers must attend MANATORY driver’s meeting which will be held at the starting line.
3. Street Legal
4. Tagged and insured (no dealer or transport tags)
5. The truck must have a registration that may be checked at any time.
6. Must retain full factory interior, no gutted race trucks
7. DOT tires, no cuts
8. Must retain factory O.E.M. chassis. Aftermarket bolt on suspension modifications permitted
9. Dually must have truck bed
10. Must have all glass windows
11. Must have all body panels
12. No fiberglass/carbon fiber body panels (hoods ok)
13. Bed floor required
14. Once the opponent has both stage beams lit, you will have 7 seconds to get yours lit or DQ (NHRA rule)
15. Not stopping safely will result in immediate DQ
16. Must meet all safety requirements
17. Officials have the final say
18. All trucks are subject to being teched at any time
19. No poor sportsmanship, any arguing will result in disqualification with no refund
20. Front fender exhaust must be vertical.

General Rules & Regulations for Truck Pull
1. Buckwild Classic Show Committee has the final authority.
2. No outside alcohol, glass containers or pets allowed on the grounds.
3. The driver must be 16 years old with a release form signed by a parent or legal guardian.
4. All contestants must sign a waiver, understanding that they are competing at their own risk and that they will not bring suit against any officials, employees, promoters, or property owners. By signing the release form you agree to all rules set forth.
5. Driver must have valid driver’s license
6. Seat belts are required and must be worn during competition.
7. Only ONE driver and NO RIDERS will be allowed in a vehicle when it is being towed or driven while IN pit area, staging area, or on the track.
8. The entry fee will be $20.00 per truck per class.
9. All vehicles must pass a tech inspection before competing. If a vehicle is unsafe, officials have the right not to allow the vehicle to compete. All trucks must be registered or in line to be registered ½ hour before to the start of the event unless approved by the Buckwild Classic Show Committee Member.
10. All drivers must attend a driver’s meeting held ½ hour before the event begins to be held in the Buck Miller Arena in front of the Finch Stage.
11. Competition vehicles must be operated in a safe manner AT ALL TIMES within the confines of the track, the pit area, and the staging area. Track officials have the right to stop and disqualify any vehicle
which is being operated in a recklessly. PIT AND STAGING AREA SPEED LIMIT 5 MPH.
12. Keep the air horns quiet! This includes all train horns.
13. No one is allowed on the track except for the track officials and contestants.
14. All pulls must start with a tight chain. No jerking of any kind permitted. The vehicle must remain within the boundaries of the track or the puller will be disqualified.
15. The puller will be allowed a total of two attempts within the 75’ mark to start the sled. The test puller may drop six positions.
16. The puller must wait for the green flag from the starting flagman before starting their pull. Leaving the starting line while under the red flag will result in an automatic disqualification. NO EXCEPTIONS.
17. The driver must stop immediately upon the signal of the red flag from the flagman.
18. Competition vehicles must always be operated safely within the confines of the track, pit area, and staging area. Buckwild Classic Show Committee has the right to stop and disqualify any vehicle being operated in an unsafe manner.
19. Buckwild Classic Show Committee / Track officials will have the option to check competitors for weight and rule violations at any time during the event. The contest will be governed by track officials with all decision’s final.
20. The Buckwild Classic Show Committee reserves the right to change any safety rules or any rules in general, if they feel there is a necessity to do so.
21. A contestant may be disqualified for either emotional or physical reasons by the competition committee official. EXAMPLE: recklessness, drugs or drinking alcoholic beverages. Any driver or any member of his/her pit crew consuming an intoxicating agent or drugs, before or during the event will be disqualified from the event. Drivers will be held responsible for the actions of their crew members.
22. If any vehicle or driver is disqualified for any reason, no refund of entry or hook fee will be given.
23. Any parts, weights, or ballast dropped from the vehicle during the competition will result in disqualification.
24. Drivers have a maximum of 3 minutes to hook to the sled once the sled is set.
25. Buckwild Classic Show Committee Member will have the option to check competitors for weight and rules violations at any time during the event. All trucks must pass through the technical inspection area before the competition. The contest will be governed by the Buckwild Classic Show Committee Member with all decision’s final.
26. The Buckwild Classic Show Committee Member/Track Official reserves the right to change any safety rules if they feel it is necessary. These rules shall govern the condition of all events, and, by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM THE PUBLICATIONS OR OF COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES/REGULATIONS. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or official.
Work Stock Class Rules
1. Street legal class for the daily driven trucks
2. Must have registration card and license plate
3. Truck CAN NOT be trailered into the event must be driven off the street
4. The factory produced engine for that year and model truck
5. Stock turbo NO AFTERMARKET TURBOS
6. Aftermarket chips and programmers allowed
7. NO bump stops
8. NO aftermarket power adders (injectable, Nitrous, watermeth, propane)
9. Dually trucks permitted MUST have a truck bed
10. 24-inch hitch height/factory receiver (NO CHEATER HITCH’S)
11. Drawbar with clevis excepted. Must have 3 inches inside diameter hole for sled hook. MUST BE RATED
12. NO free weights or hanging weights
13. Aftermarket intakes and aftercoolers permitted
14. Aftermarket exhaust permitted but must be installed rear of the cab. Stacks permitted
15. 4×4 or 4×2 permitted
16. Airbags NOT ALLOWED must unhook airlines.
Unlimited Street Class Rules
1. Unlimited open class for modified trucks
2. NO 2.6/30 Style Trucks Allowed and must be a street-legal pickup
3. Trucks can be trailered
4. Driver must wear a seatbelt
5. Aftermarket turbo allowed
6. Injectable allowed
7. 24-inch hitch height
8. Bump Stops and Sled stops permitted
9. Hanging weights allowed
10. Dually trucks allowed and MUST have a truck bed
11. Losing parts or weight on track will be cause for disqualification
12. Hood stack permitted
Dump Truck (Single & Triaxle) Rules
1. All contestants must drive a vehicle onto the track and into position to complete under its own power and must also leave under its own power unless breakage occurs.
2. Stock is factory stock, with no exceptions.
3. The vehicle can only be entered one time per class.
4. All dump trucks must be empty, this will be checked.
5. Dump trucks can pull from a suitable pintle hitch or suitable frame mounted tow hooks.
6. All airbags must be dumped before and during the pull.
Semi Street
1. Trucks must be licensed and inspected, valid insurance, a driver with a CDL license. No riders.
2. The truck must have an operating fifth wheel. Chaining or blocking of drive axles is not permitted.
3. The truck gets one hook only; exception first puller.
4. This hitch will work from the fifth wheel only. Hitches will be placed in position and checked by officials before the truck entering the track to pull. The hitching device must meet approval by the Buckwild Classic Show Committee Member/Track Official.
5. 20-inch hitch height
6. The truck should appear “road ready”. No added weight or ballast is permitted.
7. No ether, alcohol, water, nitrous or other liquid or combustible material may be injected into the turbocharger or any part of the air intake system. Only the fuel that was originally intended for that engine may be used.
Hot Semi – We are using Interstate Truck & Tractor Puller Rules listed below
1. LEGALITY OF ENTRY
The owner must furnish a current registration card for the vehicle at the time of registration and the driver must have a valid CDL license. The truck must be capable of pulling a trailer on the highway. All trucks must be able to pull a trailer on the road.
2. SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS
No riders, pets, or objects of any kind are permitted in the truck during pull attempt or in the staging area. The driver may not leave the driver’s seat while the vehicle is on the pulling track. The driver will take all directions from the flagman on the track. Driver must use a seatbelt and shoulder harness when hooked to the sled. All drivers must remain in the seat while trucks are started.
3. HITCHES
Hitch height will be Max. 20” at all pulls. Hitch must work from the fifth wheel with the fifth
wheel centered between the centerline of the front axle to the center between the two axles. The hitches
will be measured at the hook of sled and the unhook of the sled. Hitches MUST meet safety requirements.
Trucks pulling must have their own hitches unless arrangements are made before the pull. The promoter is not responsible for having hitches.
4. AIRBAGS
The use of airbags is permitted. However, no air may be added to or removed from the airbags while the truck is hooked to the weight transfer machine, anyone caught will be disqualified. The height of the hitch must remain the same from start to finish. Any change in the hitch height will be cause for disqualification. Anyone caught dumping air will be automatically disqualified. No modifications of airlines or dump valves will be permitted, stock only. A ½” chain must be welded to back of hitch to hang to ground 22” and must be able to add and
remove links.
5. WEIGHT OF TRUCK (22,000 LB. MAXIMUM)
The truck shall appear ‘road-ready’. No added weight or ballast is permitted. Special trucks, such as oil field trucks that carry the additional weight that is not normally found on a ‘road-ready truck is not permitted in this class. The promoter may weigh any truck at any time. Trucks with triple (3) rear axles are not permitted to participate in this class.
6. SPECIAL RULES
No more than 2 turbos on any make of engine. Water Injection in any form is not permitted. No ether, alcohol, nitrous or other combustible (propellant) liquid or combustible material may be injected into the turbocharger or any part of the air intake system. Alterations/Modification/Replacement of the (OEM) original factory fuel pump is not permitted. No pump may be modified with Sigma parts. A Cummins engine must have a Cummins fuel pump-A Detroit must have a Detroit fuel pump –A Cat must have a Cat fuel pump. Normal pump diesel is the only fuel permitted in this class. Electronic engines must remain electronic. No mechanical fuel pumps
permitted on electronic engines.
There must be 66” from the center of the tandems to the first obstruction forward such as the back of the truck cab, toolbox, wet line box, etc. The minimum swing clearance needed to pull a trailer.

RULES & REGULATIONS:
Show Management has the final authority.
- No outside Alcohol, glass containers or pets allowed on the grounds.
- All trucks must stay on the show lot until released by Show Management at the end of the event. This is for the safety of all.
- Support vehicles will not be allowed on the show lot. There are no exceptions.
- Distribution of literature and the selling of any products on the show lot will be regarded as a commercial exhibit and is strictly prohibited. Only paid sponsors/vendors may distribute literature and/or sell products. Signs advertising products and/or services for any company are also prohibited. However, it is permissible to have one Thank You sign of modest size to mention the truck names, specs and suppliers of the truck by name (no soliciting permitted) and placed within two feet from the truck. Show Committee reserves the right to refuse entry to any party whose primary interest is for promoting their own private or commercial interests rather than the sole purpose of competing in Buckwild Truck & Tractor Classic.
- Trophies will be handed out in front of the Finch Stage located in the Buck Miller arena directly after the Dirt Drags is completed approximately around 3:00 PM.
- LIABILITY: All exhibitors and pullers herewith agree to indemnify and forever hold harmless the Carroll County 4-H FFA Fair, Inc. & Carroll County Agriculture Center for any damages, all losses, cost (including attorney fees), liability or expenses arising out of any liability or claim of liability for injury or damage to persons or property sustained or claimed to have sustained by reason or occupation of the facilities before, during or after the show/pull.
