DESCRIPTION:  \nOn Saturday\, April 4th the Carroll County Farmer’s Market will hold its Easter Show; the hours are 8am-2pm.  There will be a free drawing for vendor coupons to use at the Market on the 19th.  The Easter Bunny will also be present for photo opportunities.  So please bring your cameras. There will be vendors selling handmade candy and crafts to help fill Easter Baskets. \nThere will be between 75 vendors participating in this show.  Among the handmade crafts and fine arts available are wreaths and spring decorations\, jewelry\, pottery\, painted wood crafts\, soaps\, baskets\, and so much more. \nOur food stands provide home baked goods\, including cakes\, pies\, scones\, cookies\, breads\, rolls and biscotti. You will also find jams and jellies\, candy\, honey\, nuts\, dip mixes\, fresh eggs\, emu products; farm raised beef\, and much more. \nOur plant vendors will be here selling spring perennials\, annuals\, herb plants\, as well as house plants. \nThe cafeteria is open during market hours for breakfast and lunch. SUMMARY:May 9th - Mason Dixon Rhododendron Society Show and Sale
DESCRIPTION:Will be a part of the Carroll County Farmer’s Market this year. \nLike many of the chapters of the American Rhododendron Society\, the Mason-Dixon Chapter holds a flower show every spring\, highlighting the azaleas and rhododendrons that are blooming at the time. Due to the mysteries of Mother Nature\, the display varies from year to year\, changing if the season is early\, average or late. \nIn 2025\, the show will again be in Westminster\, Maryland\, on May 9th. It will be held at the Carroll County Agricultural Center in conjunction with the Carroll County Farmers’ Market. We will be open from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM. \nThe highlight of the event will be the chapter’s annual truss show\, featuring flowers from many different varieties of rhododendrons and azaleas. In addition to ribbons\, a number of prizes will be awarded to the top entries\, including the “People’s Choice Award\,” decided by the popular vote of all attendees. \nExpert advice and educational materials will be available at both shows\, and rhododendrons\, azaleas\, and numerous companion plants\, such as hostas\, hollies\, and numerous perennials\, will be offered for sale by the chapter and selected vendors. SUMMARY:Free State Daylily Society Sale at the Carroll County Farmer's Market
DESCRIPTION:  \n       \nOn Saturday\, May 9\, 2026\, the Free State Daylily Society (FSDS) will be offering for sale over 75 different varieties of daylilies at the Carroll County Agricultural Center in conjunction with the Mason Dixon Rhododendron Society. This will be our second year at the Carroll County Farmer’s Market\, following a very successful sale last spring. \nWith over 75 different daylilies in all colors and sizes for just $5 a double fan\, you won’t find this variety of cultivars anywhere in Maryland at this price. Our plants are bare root and ready to be planted when you take them home. FSDS club members will be there to answer all your questions about growing daylilies and help you select plants for you to buy. There will be color pictures and descriptions of every daylily for sale. At the price of $5/double fan\, you will want several! If you compare our prices to retail nurseries and garden centers or online daylily sellers\, you will find that many of our plants retail for $15 or more. \nWe will also have other potted companion plants for purchase such as irises\, coneflowers\, hosta and Japanese forest grass. All plants have been donated by FSDS members and are all $5 per container. \nThis sale is Mother’s Day weekend\, the perfect time to select some quality plants for mom’s garden or your own. Come by between 8 :00 am and 2 pm (or until sold out) to check out our selection\, but be aware that some cultivars sell out fast. There will be information available on how to grow daylilies\, how to select plants and about FSDS\, for those interested in joining the club. \nCome look for us sharing space with the Mason Dixon Rhododendron Society Show and Sale. \nAll sales will be cash only. Proceeds will support FSDS projects and programs throughout the year.

DESCRIPTION:The Carroll County Farmer’s Market is Celebrating its 55th Year. \n \nOn Saturday\, June 20th \, the Carroll County Farmer’s Market will be celebrating its 55th season. \nThis week customers will be able to purchase locally grown produce featuring lettuce\, kale\, kohlrabi\, radishes\, spinach\, beets\, asparagus\, rhubarb\, Swiss chard\, spring onions\, broccoli\, cabbage\, and cauliflower.  There will also be farm raised beef\, pork\, lamb\, wine\, cheese\, honey\, and fresh eggs. \nOur food stands provide home baked goods\, including cakes\, pies\, scones\, cookies\, breads\, rolls and biscotti. You will also find jams and jellies\, nuts\, fresh eggs and more. We also have a stand selling heart healthy lean emu meat and other emu products. \nOur plant vendors will have hanging baskets\, container and patio pots\, herbs\, annuals\, perennials and fresh cut flowers. The Master Gardeners will also have a stand every week to help you with your gardening problems and answer your questions. \nEach week will offer an assortment of handmade crafts. DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, June 27\, 2026\, the Free State Daylily Society (FSDS) will be holding its Annual Bloom Show at the Carrol County Agricultural Center (Blizzard Building).  This will be the first year for the FSDS bloom show at this location.  \nFSDS members will be displaying daylily blooms from their garden.  Bloom categories include mini\, small\, large\, extra-large\, double\, spider/unusual form\, arrangement\, and seedling.  Members will also be available to answer questions about the blooms and growing daylilies in our area.  \nThis is a great opportunity for the general public to see some beautiful daylilies that you will not see in the local garden centers and to make a wish list for possible future purchases at our August 2 sale at Mclean’s Nursery in Parkville\, MD and August 3 at Benson Hammond House in Linthicum Heights\, MD.  Of course\, we will be back at the Carroll County Ag Center in May 2026!  \n  \nThere will be some plants for sale at this event.  Cash only.  \nSome of last years’ winners.

DESCRIPTION:Best of Summer at the Carroll County Farmer’s Market \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOn Saturday\, July 18th\, the Carroll County Farmer’s Market will feature the Best of Summer.  Two of our many vendors; Deep Run Farm and Briar Ridge Farm have been bringing their own homegrown corn\, cantaloupe\, and tomatoes.  Come early so you don’t miss out on all of the freshly picked produce our market has to offer. \nThis week customers will find available peaches\, tomatoes\, peppers\, cucumbers\, squash\, potatoes\, green beans\,  sweet corn\, cantaloupes\, broccoli\, cauliflower\, cucumbers\, cabbage\, kale\, carrots\, beets\, and onions. \nOur food stands provide home baked goods\, including cakes\, pies\, scones\, cookies\, breads\, rolls and biscotti. You will also find jams and jellies\, honey\, nuts\, fresh eggs and more. \nOur plant vendors will have perennials\, flowering shrubs\, herb plants and lots of fresh garden bouquets. The Master Gardeners will also have a stand every week to help you with your gardening problems and answer your questions. \nEach week will offer an assortment of handmade crafts. Items available include seasonal decorations\, fabric crafts\, jewelry\, photography\, painted wood crafts and more. \nThe cafeteria is open during market hours for breakfast and lunch. DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, July 25\, the Carroll County Farmer’s Market is showcasing local sweet corn. Local Carroll County corn is in!Three of our local produce vendors will have sweet corn on Saturday. Plus all of our regular market vendors will be there.The produce shoppers this week should be able to find locally grown Corn\, tomatoes\, lettuce\, kale\, Swiss Chard\, onions\, peas\, radishes\, zucchini\, beets\, squash\, cucumbers\, garlic\, peppers\, sweet corn\, collards\, herbs\, cabbage\, peaches\, blueberries\, black berries\, and cherries.The popular baked goods stands will be filled with homemade cakes\, pies\, cookies\, scones and breads. Other food items include candy\, jams\, jellies and gourmet dips and sauces. Farm fresh local eggs\, honey\, heritage beef\, pork\, and lamb are also available every week.Among the crafts and fine arts available are handbags\, jewelry\, clothing\, wood crafts\, candles\, soaps\, seasonal decorations and so much more.Plant vendors will be on hand with perennials\, flowering shrubs\, hanging baskets and herb plants.The Master Gardeners will be on hand to help with any gardening questions.The cafeteria is open during market hours for breakfast and lunch.
