What is the Maryland Piedmont Reliability Project (MPRP)?

A major project to create a 70-mile-long 500,000 volt electrical transmission line starting at Norrisville in Harford County, and then crossing Baltimore, Carroll, and Frederick Counties, and ending at the Doubs substation in southern Frederick County. The project will disrupt and destroy private land, farms, homes, and the natural environment. The power will largely be used to support data centers. How Can You Help?

There are many ways you can help right now. These include:

1. Talk to your neighbors, tell them about the project, and share our website with them. The more people who support our work, the stronger we will be.
2. Subscribe to our email list for updates.
3. Send us an email either through the Contact Us form or to stopmprp@gmail.com to tell us how the project impacts you. You are welcome to include photos. We may use your impact statement and photo to help spread the word (we will only use your initials in public information).
4. Donate to Stop MPRP, Inc. We are a nonprofit organization under the 501(c)4 rules so that means your donation directly to Stop MPRP, Inc. is not tax deductible to you, the donor. There are two ways to donate: 1) Our GoFundMe campaign, or 2) Send a check to Stop MPRP, Inc. to P.O. Box 329 Parkton, MD 21120
5. Stop MPRP, Inc. is also a membership organization which gives us the ability to legally represent our members. The Board of Directors has established our membership dues at $10.00 per year. We will have an update on how to become a member very soon. Please keep in mind that membership dues will be in addition to any donation you choose to make.
