|Saturday, August 27th is Back to School Days at the Carroll County Farmer’s Market. There will be a free Door Prize Drawing for Back packs filled with school supplies for kids. The Farmer’s Market will be closing at 12pm today to make room for the Hot Air Balloon Festival.
This week shoppers will be able to find cantaloupes, melons, apples, peppers, tomatoes, potatoes, watermelons, corn, farm fresh eggs, farm raised beef, pork, and lamb. Customers should come early for the best selection. A large selection of fresh cut flowers will be available, as well as locally grown garden mums.
There will be at least 40 stands selling a wide variety of merchandise. Handmade fine arts and crafts vendors will also be here selling a wide variety of wares. Imports are not allowed. The Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer your gardening questions.
Breakfast and Lunch will be served. Pancake breakfast and egg sandwiches are popular breakfast items. Homemade slices of pie and cake are always great for dessert.
The Carroll County Farmer’s Market is held in Westminster, Maryland at the Agriculture Center, located on Smith Avenue adjacent to the Farm Museum.
Summer Market runs every Saturday thru September 3rd.
There is no admission and parking is free.
We are handicapped accessible.
