Carroll County Extension Advisory Board
We are the Carroll County Extension Advisory Board, also known as the EAB.
The EAB works with Extension faculty and staff to identify critical needs in the Carroll County community. The EAB serves as an advisor to the University of Maryland Extension in Carroll County. We support the development of education programs for Carroll County residents that address these critical needs. We serve to assist faculty and staff to develop and coordinate the Carroll County Extension Program; identify problem areas in the community which Extension could address; establish program priorities; assist with informing clientele, county leaders, partners, and the public about Extension programs, activities, and accomplishments; and assist with building support for Extension programs. The EAB is a member group of the Carroll County Agriculture Center Board.
The membership of the Carroll County Extension Advisory Board demographically represents the citizens of Carroll County that contribute to the program prioritization and development in Extension initiative areas. The membership, or Board Members, consists of two or three representatives from each Extension Program Area: 4-H Youth; Agriculture/Natural Resources; Family & Consumer Sciences; and Master Gardeners/Horticulture. We also have youth representatives and members-at-large that are chosen by the county faculty to ensure appropriate demographic representation and community involvement on the EAB.
For questions or to find out how to get involved, please contact the Extension Office at 700 Agricultural Center Drive, Westminster, MD 21157, or call the office at 410-386-2760.
