According to the University of Maryland Extension website, the expo offers an avenue for small flock producers to network and learn about everything from breed characteristics, showing and meat and egg production to biosecurity, predator control, and marketing. Attendees can also attend sessions on regulations for selling meat and eggs, feeds and feeding, egg grading and handling, and health and care.
The cost is $5 for adults and free for those 18 and under. Pre-registration is preferred.
